The Upper Wylye Valley Bug Hunters

The Upper Wylye Valley Bug Hunters was set up by a small group of volunteers in early 2016 wanting to engage young people with nature and wildlife.  The group started meeting up in Heytesbury Church and visiting the nearby water meadows, but has now expanded its meet ups around the Upper Wylye Valley villages.

With happy children and adults taking part in Worm Counts, Bug Hunts, Stream dipping, Broad Bean planting, Leaf printing to name a few.

The group is always open to new ideas and for new members to join – helping or just attending.  The focus so far has been on children 2 –  8 years, however we would very much like to engage and organise events for teenagers and adults too.

Attendees are asked to donate £1 to cover costs and refreshments. To join please ask to be part of our closed Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/uwvbughunters/
