Friends of Codford St Peter's Church

The Friends are very active and have been going for over 50 years. After depleting all our funds following roofing works in 1997-99 we were very blessed to  be left a large legacy in 2006 which kick started a ‘re-formed’ Friends. Over the last 19 years we have been able to make major repairs to some of the stained glass, re-roofed the vestry and chancel, re-hung and overhauled the 6 bells, restored the ancient clock and now we are re-instating the tower pinnacles which were taken down in 1997 as they were degraded and deemed to be unsafe. We undertake a limited amount of fundraising, but otherwise rely on our generous members and income from our capital. Our charity no. is 269038 and our objectives are defined as: ‘To assist with the repair of the Parish Church of Codford St Peter, Warminster, Wiltshire, its fabric, organ, and bells and providing support in its worship, its music and other needs and in furtherance of these objectives to raise funds and collect money
