Ploughman’s Lunches at Codford Village Hall

Saturday 2nd November saw another of our wonderful Ploughman’s Lunches at Codford Village Hall. The team from St Peter’s Codford once again provided delicious food for over 70 people from all around the upper Wylye Valley. On a rather cold and wet day we all thoroughly enjoyed a three-course meal of homemade warming soup, ham and cheese ploughman’s and homemade puddings. It was difficult to choose between the huge variety of soups to start and puddings to finish, but we all did and enjoyed every mouthful.

We would like to extend our thanks to all the people who helped in setting up and taking down the tables and chairs, running the raffle, greeting guests at the door, making the soup and puddings and preparing, serving and clearing up on the day. It really was ‘a team effort’ and without such generous and dedicated people we could not do this.

Throughout the whole event there was a great feeling of fellowship and togetherness with much chatter and laughter for all who joined us. We are very much looking forward to our next Ploughman’s Lunch, so make sure you keep your eyes and ears open for when we will be hosting it again. We would love to see and welcome you to this great event.
