St Peter’s Codford – February News

This month, we are all looking forward to Trudy’s licencing as Rector of our Benefice at St Peter’s on the 23rd.  The Institution will be by the Bishop of Ramsbury and the Induction and Installation by the Archdeacon. Don’t ask me what the differences are between those terms…  The Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire will also be in attendance.

Lots of you are already involved in helping to prepare the church, refreshments etc. We are all keen to welcome lots of people from across the Valley and beyond for this special service.  Do come along for pomp, inspiration and cake!

In addition, this month the new Sunday@4 aimed at families kicks off in the village hall, while we will have our normal communion and imposition of Ashes on Ash Wednesday.  So the Licencing is an excellent excuse for a celebration before our Lenten journeys begin.

Services are here: St Peter's Chuch, Codford.

Jesus also said, ‘With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.’

Mark 4. 30-32.
